"Dangal" is an Indian biographical sports drama film released in 2016.  Directed by Nitesh Tiwari the film is based on the real-life story of  Mahavir Singh Phogat, a former wrestler and coach from Haryana,  India. The movie stars Aamir Khan in the lead role,  along with Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanya Malhotra. The story revolves around Mahavir Singh Phogat who is determined to fulfill his unfulfilled dream of winning a gold medal for India in wrestling.  However, circumstances prevent him from accomplishing his goal. Undeterred, Mahavir decides to train his daughters, Geeta and Babita, in wrestling. Initially resistant to the idea, the two young girls eventually embrace  the sport under their father's rigorous training.
